global warming

In the 21th century human beings are facing many natural disasters such as earthquakes, flood, hurricanes... Those disasters have a huge impact on our life and on our planet. Global warming is one of them and it probably is the most destructive one.

Global warming is a process in which temperature of earth rises due to intensive carbon emission to atmosphere from burning of fossil fuels, industrial wastes, and agricultural chemicals. As a result of this greenhouse gas accumulation in the atmosphere, drastic climate changes occur all around the world. These gases have been occuring naturally since the begining of time but that was not a threat since they were being absorbed back by nature again. (Socha,n.d.par.1) Unfortunately this balance has been degraded, especially in recent years, because of humans.

Our desire to consume as much as possible, live in better and more comfartable conditions and control the nature the situation led us to destroy forests, increase industrial production (and therefore industrial wastes) and come up with new technologies that allow us to fly or make our air cold in summers. The problem is that such benefits do not come for free. Every time a plane takes off, someone turns the air-conditioner on or puts on too much deodorant; more and more carbon gassees are being released to atmosphere. We have been living recklessly like that for quite some time now, and unfortunately accumulation of higher concentrations of greenhouse gases had enhanced our earth's heat trapping capability. Today we have to face the results of global warming and its effects and take the necessary precautions to prevent further damage.

As a part of the ecological system, wildlife is also affected. Many species became extinct and at least as many of them are facing with extinction because their habitats are damaged. (Peters,2003)Especially in the last thirty years, many animal species has changed their habitats and polar bears in Alaska are a good example.

Drug seeking affects brain functioning and thus behaviors.

Why do drug-addicted persons keep using drugs?Nearly all addicted individuals believe at the outset that they can stop using drugs on their own, and most try to stop without treatment. Although some people are successful, many attempts result in failure to achieve longterm abstinence.

What is drug addiction treatment?

Drug treatment is intended to help addicted individuals stop compulsive drug seeking and use. Treatment can occur in a variety of settings, in many different forms, and for different lengths of time.

 Recovering from drug addiction is much easier when you have people you can lean on for encouragement, comfort, and guidance.

TWİLİGHT

Bella Swan moves Forks, in order to live with her father. After moving to Forks, Bella finds herself involuntarily drawn to a mysterious, handsome boy Edward Cullen.She eventually learns that he is a vampire who drinks animal blood. Edward and Bella fall in love, but James, a cruel vampire from another vampire coven, is drawn to hunt  Bella. Edward and the other Cullen's defend Bella. She is tricked by James, who tries to kill her. She is seriously wounded, but Edward rescues her and killed James.

NEW MOON

Edward and his family leave Forks because he believes he is endangering Bella's life. Bella falls into a deep depression, until she develops a strong friendship with Jacob Black who she discovers can shape shift into a wolf. Jacob and the other wolves in his tribe must protect her from Victoria, a vampire seeking to avenge the death of her mate James, by killing Bella. A misunderstanding occurs, and Edward believes Bella is dead. Edward decides to commit suicide in Volterra,Italy but he is stopped by Bella, who is accompanied by Edward's sister, Alice. They meet with the Volturi a powerful vampire coven, and are released only on the condition that Bella be turned into a vampire in the near future. Bella and Edward are reunited, and she and the Cullens return to Forks.

ECLİPSE

The vampire Victoria Twilight has created an army of "newborn" vampires to battle the Cullen family and murder Bella for revenge. Meanwhile, Bella is compelled to choose between her relationship with Edward and her friendship with Jacob. Edward's vampire family and Jacob's werewolf pack join forces to successfully destroy Victoria and her vampire army. In the end, Bella chooses Edward's love over Jacob's and agrees to marry him.

BREAKİNG DAWN


Bella and Edward are married, but their honeymoon is cut short when Bella understand that she is pregnant. Her pregnancy progresses rapidly, and endamaging her. She almost dies giving birth to their half-vampire-half-human daughter, Renesmee,but Edward injects Bella with his poison to save her life and turns her into a vampire. A vampire from another coven sees Renesmee and she is a immortal child.  Volturi,decided she violates vampire law.The Cullens gather vampires witness who can confirm that Renesmee is not an immortal child. After confrontation, the Cullens and their witnesses convince the Volturi that the child occurs no danger to vampires or their secret.

How i met your mother is a tv series about Ted Mosby and how he fell in love.Every episodes start Ted Mosby's speaking with his children in 2030 and narrated through flashbacks from the past and the future.Comedy also mentioned Ted's friends Marshall,Lily,Barney and Robin.Story started when Ted's best friend, Marshall decide to propose to his fiance Lily.At that moment Ted realizes he want to be like them and he decided to find the true love.Barney who is humorous,smart and so womanizer to become a part of this quest.One day Ted meets with Robin and he's sure it's love at first sight but of course it is not.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Obsessive compulsive disorder, is anxiety disorder and is characterized by unwanted thoughts or repetitive behaviors.Such as handwashing, counting, checking, or cleaning ...

Compulsions are behaviors that patient feel driven to act out again and again. Usually, compulsions are performed in an attempt to make obsessions go away.

Obsessions are involuntary, seemingly uncontrollable thoughts, images, or impulses that occur over and over again in ttheir mind. They don’t want to have these ideas in fact, they know that they don’t make any sense. But they can’t stop them. Unfortunately, these obsessive thoughts are usually disturb.

 

• Washers are afraid of contamination. They usually have cleaning or hand-washing compulsions.

• Checkers repeatedly check things (oven turned off, door locked)
  

• Doubters and sinners are afraid that if everything isn’t perfect .
• Counters and arrangers are obsessed with order and symmetry. 
• Hoarders fear that something bad will happen if they throw anything away.
